Being a fan of films, I often wondered how close their predictions for the future have actually come. One night I decided to create an infographic to depict their estimates in an easy to understand manner. An evening of research (with one large excel file), and an evening of design (with an even bigger PSD), produced the following:
Originally posted at the beginning of May 2011, the infographic has become a huge viral success, totalling over 600,000 views web-wide. Many reputable websites have blogged about it, hundreds more have reposted, and thousands have retweeted the infographic. My proudest moment was seeing Duncan Jones (Director of Moon & Source Code) tweet about it!
